Distance

If I keep my distance, don’t take offense;

For social distancing is our best defense

If I don’t socialize, please don’t feel disrespected;

For sacrifices are necessary to keep us all protected

If I wear a mask, don’t belittle my caution;

For if everyone did, we could slow or stop the infection

And If I am scared, don’t treat my feelings as less;

For we all should be extra cautious to survive the virus

I write anything from novels and children's books to plays to relate and retell everyday life experiences in a fun-filled read with heart, hope and humor. A former journalist and real estate marketing expert, I am a transplant from Chicago, now happily living in southwest Florida to keep warm and sunny all year round.
